Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI), a racing and gaming company, has inked a content and promotional deal with FanDuel, a division of Flutter.
CDI has entered into a long-term agreement with FanDuel that encompasses various facets of FanDuel’s operations, including sports betting, advance deposit wagering (ADW), and broadcasting. As part of the agreement, CDI will furnish B2B technology and services for FanDuel Sportsbook’s horse racing wagering.
American FanDuel patrons will be able to place bets on horse racing events at CDI locations, and FanDuel will be granted permission to broadcast CDI content on its newly launched television network. The agreement also includes a non-exclusive sponsorship of the Kentucky Derby by FanDuel.
CDI’s subsidiary, United Tote, will be compensated by FanDuel to facilitate the horse racing wagering aspect of the agreement. CDI previously reached an agreement to sell United Tote to the New York Racing Association for a 49% interest, with the transaction anticipated to conclude before the start of the new year.
FanDuel CEO Amy Howe welcomed the agreement, emphasizing the potential for further integration of business product offerings:
