888 Holdings has designated three fresh board representatives subsequent to finalizing its purchase of William Hill’s non-US holdings.
This action introduces seasoned leaders with backgrounds in online retail, media, and technology to the board. Andrea Gisle Joosen, a Swedish business leader, boasts a history of board roles at firms like electronics vendor Currys and paper producer Billerud. Significantly, she also held a board position at Mr Green, a gaming enterprise acquired by William Hill in 2018.
Andria Vidler contributes over three decades of expertise in marketing and technology, presently acting as CEO of Tag EMEA and having occupied senior roles at Bauer Media and the BBC. She also possesses experience within the gaming sector as a board representative and ESG committee head at Gamesys.
Completing the appointments is Randy Freer, who currently leads The Freer Company, a consultancy focused on business strategy and brand storytelling. Freer formerly served as CEO of streaming giant Hulu, providing valuable insights from the dynamic world of digital media.
These additions expand the 888 Holdings board to nine members and demonstrate a calculated effort to integrate diverse skillsets as the company assimilates William Hill’s operations and charts the course for the future of online wagering and gaming.
888s non-executive chairman, Lord Mendelsohn, expressed great enthusiasm in welcoming three prominent figures in the industry to their board: Andria, Andrea, and Randy. He firmly believes their collective knowledge will be essential as 888, having recently acquired William Hill, navigates its path as a larger entity in the gaming sector. This action also bolsters the company’s oversight. Furthermore, there are future developments: Ori Shaked, a recognized name in the gaming and entertainment realm, is also slated to become a board member, subject to regulatory consent.
